A CS230 proprietary cable is required to connect the CS230 to the IOX-WRKS Primary Port.
-
Controller damage possible.
-
CS230 data cable is ignition powered ONLY if unit is non-AC model.
-
CS-230 = Requires cable to be ignition powered.
-
CS-230-AC = DO NOT power cable
-
-
-
Connect one end of the CS230 cable to the COMM port on the CS230 controller
-
Connect the other end to the IOX-WRKS primary port.
-
Use HRN-DB9SI15 if additional length is required.
-
-
-
Turn the CS230 on and set the Application and spread rates using the labelled knobs on the controller.
-
The display could be showing a number of parameters depending on it’s programming. Use the Increment buttons to toggle through the settings.
-
“ARS” is Application Rate Setting (Usually in Lbs/mile), “AR” is actual rate which should be zero due to the vehicle not moving.
-
Controller data should be captured when the unit is on, there are no errors displayed, and it is in operation mode with rates set.
-
-
-
With the programming key and always starting with dials at zero before entering the programming mode, you can check the following:
-
Set the rate and application dials to access the parameter of interest. For example spread 9, and application 9 accesses Parameter 99.
-
Parameter 99 displays the Software Version.
-
Parameter 62 the GPS data format, which should be set at zero
-
Using the increment and blast buttons will allow a change and save of the new value.
-
Please do not change any settings without first confirming with the customer !

-
Ground speed simulation is not necessary, and can only be activated using the CS simulator module

Almost done!
